Wild Rose Exploration ~ Nourishing Our Emotional Hearts ~ Tuesday May 19th 5.30 – 7.30 pm Join Herbalist + Botanical Artisan Frances O’Halloran of LoveJoy Botanicals for this class designed to amplify your loving heart. In this journey, expect to be immersed in Wild Roses. Rose is the symbol of the divine feminine and is a messenger of joy, beauty and vitality. Wild Roses have powerful positive effects on the cardiovascular system and contain constituents that elevate the mood. Our exploration will begin with a short plant meditation, followed by sampling a ‘bouquet’ of wild rose formulations, while you craft a fresh Wild Rose preparation of your choice. Super Natural Skin Care~ Wed. May 6th 5.30 -7.30pm ~ Nourishing Our Bodies With Wild + Organic Plants Join Herbalist + Botanical Artisan Frances O’Halloran of LoveJoy Botanicals for this class on topical botanical preparations. Fresh plant infusions provide profound healing properties and are delightful for soothing skin irritations, wounds, dry skin and a variety of other skin challenges. In this hands-on class we will learn how to create herbal infused body + massage oils and herbal balms/salves. How to choose which healing herbs to utilize will be discussed. Wild Greens ☼ Forage 2 Feast Explore, gather, and savor the bounty of the season. Early Spring at Yakona offers an abundant diversity of wild edible and medicinal plants just beginning to awaken from their Winter slumber. Take this opportunity to deepen your connection to our seasonal offerings by learning to identify a variety of our wild edible and medicinal plants, and hear about their nutritional and medicinal benefits. We will work together to create and enjoy a unique wild food dish celebrating our harvest of the day. Your instructors, Rena Olson and Frances O’Halloran, bring decades of experience with wild plant harvesting and preparation. They are both passionate about sharing their knowledge and love of the wild plants. Wednesday April 8th ~ 1-4pm
